A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS
TO APPROVE ANNUAL CONTRACT EXTENSIONS WITH
KISSINGER EQUIPMENT RENTAL THROUGH 2005
WHEREAS, the City Council supplements the Streets Maintenance Division by
renting additional dump trucks and drivers to complete the yearly Surface Patch Program;
and
WHEREAS, the proposed contract to rent additional dump trucks and drivers
contains provisions to extend the contract on a year-to-year basis for a total of three
additional years; and
WHEREAS, Kissinger Equipment Rental submitted the lowest responsive bid that
meets the City's specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway as
follows:
Section 1: The Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to extend the contract
up to three additional terms until March 27, 2005, consistent with Specification 5-8 of the
"Rental of Dump Trucks and Drivers", Bid No. 01-010 and based upon the Street
Maintenance Program in the amount as determined by the Director of Public Works.
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California, at a regular meeting thereof this 27th day of March, 2001.
