RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE OF NONRESIDENT FEES FOR
CITY OF POWAY RECREATION PROGRAMS
WHEREAS, The City of Poway has historically charged a fee to nonresidents who
participate in the City's recreation programs; and
WHEREAS, An increase is appropriate at this time to recover costs that have been
incurred by the City; and
WHEREAS, an initial increase of $2 per nonresident (for a total of $7) will be
implemented with the Summer 2001 program offerings; and
WHEREAS, the second increase will be an additional $3 per nonresident (for a
total of $10) to be applied during the Summer 2002 program offerings; and
WHEREAS, The City Manager will have authorization to implement the second
phase of the increase, based upon staff recommendation; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Poway
does hereby approve the increase of nonresident fees charged for City of Poway
recreation programs.
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California, at a regular meeting thereof, this 3rd day of April 2001.
