Appropriation of Funds For Reroofing Community Services
Administration Building
ABSTRACT
The recent heavy rains have reinforced the need to replace the roof on the Community
Services Administration Building located at 13202 Poway Road. Staff recommends that
the City Council appropri ate $10,000 from the unappropri ated replacement fund balance
in the Capital Replacement Fund (611-8912) for a new roof.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
This item is not subject to CEQA review.
FISCAL IMPACT
The cost to replace the roof on the Community Services Administration Building is
$10,000. This amount will have to be appropriated from the City's unappropriated
capital replacement fund balance in account 611-8912.
ADDITIONAL PUBLIC NOTIFICATION AND CORRESPONDENCE
None.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the City Council appropriate $10,000 from the unappropriated
capital replaceme d balance for a new roof on the Community Services

BACKGROUND
The recent heavy rains have resulted in numerous roof leaks and water damage
to the Community Services Administration Building. The age of the roof and
the potential of further water damage to the facility warrant replacing the
roof.
FINDINGS
The City's roofing contractor has inspected the roof and is recommending a new
roof. The new roof will include roof drains, downspout, HVAC curbing, and
resealing the HVAC and ductwork. The cost estimate for this project is
$10,000.
