SUBJECT: Acceptance of Construction of 01d Poway Park Phase IIIB (5602)
~BSTRACT:
Upon final inspection, staff finds the project to be in accordance with the standards
and specifications of the contract. It is recommended that the Redevelopment
Agency/City Council approve acceptance of the project.
'ISCALIMPACT
The project was completed within the budgeted amount. No additional funds are needed.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
An environmental review was previously conducted and a Ne§ative Declaration was issued.
No additional environmental review is necessary.
ADDITIONAL PUBLIC NOTIFICATION AND CORRESPONDENCE
None.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Redevelopment Agency/City Council:
1. Formally accept the improvements.
2. Authorize the City Clerk to file and record a Notice of Completion.
3. Authorize the release of the retention for the amount of $25,920.17, if
unencumbered, 40 days after filing the Notice of Completion.

BACKGROUND
On March 15, 1994 the Redevelopment Agency awarded the contract for
construction of Old Poway Park Phase III B to Plaza Landscape, Inc. The
amount of the contract was $496,049.50
FINDINGS
Due to five change orders and changes in the final quantities, the amount of
the contract was increased by $22,353.94, for a total contract amount of
$518,403.44
FISCAL IMPACT
The project was completed within the budgeted amount. No additional funds are
needed.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
An environmental review was previously conducted and a Negative Declaration
was issued. No additional environmental review is necessary.
