SUBJECT: Appropriation of Funds for New Copier
ABSTRACT
The copier at the Public Services Administration Office must be replaced. Funds needed
to replace this machine are available for appropriation from the Capital Replacement
Fund. It is recommended that the City Council appropriate $7,783.00 from the Capital
Replacement Fund for the purchase of this machine.

Environmental review is not required for this agenda item according to CEQA guidelines.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available for appropriation in the Capital Replacement Fund, 0108-6122.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council appropriate $7,783.00 from the Capital
Replacement Fund, 0108-6122, for the purchase of a new copier for the Public Services
Department.

SUBJECT: Appropriation of Funds for New Copier
BACKGROUND
A new copier must be purchased for Public Services, and it is requested that the
City Council approve the appropriation of needed funds from the Capital Replacement
Fund.
FINDINGS
The copier at the Public Services Administration Office was scheduled to be replaced
next year. This year the machine has suffered many mechanical breakdowns, causing
problems in office production. Staff has determined that this machine must be
replaced. The cost of replacing this machine is $9,283.00. The trade-in value of
the old machine is $1,500.00. It will be necessary to appropriate an amount of
$7,783.00.
