Grant (CDBG) Project
ABSTRACT
he proposed Amendment to the Agreement for the Management and Impl of a CDBG
reject (County Contract Number 32836) will allow the reallocation of unexpended,
ighteenth-Year CDBG funding for completion of the Old Poway Park Tot Lot and Lake
oway Playground projects.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The projects which will be funded have been determined to be exempt from CEQA and NEPA
1 review ts.
It is recommended that $24,033 be appropriated from the Redevelopment Agency 80%
unappropriated fund balance (Account #436-8912) to cover project costs prior to
receiving CDBG funding reimb from the County.
None.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council/Redevelo ment Agency approv the attached
Amendment to the Agreement for Management and Im lementation of a C BG Project,
appropriate $24,033 from the Redevelopment Agenc' 80% ,nappropriate fund balance to
cover project costs prior to reimb rom the Coun y and adopt the
attached Resolutions d ] that'the completion o the two Eig teenth-Year CDBG
projects will be of benefit to the Paguay Redevelopmen Project Area.

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Project
BACKGROUND
n May 4, 1993, the City Coun il authorized the execution of an Agree ent
etween the City and the Coun y of San Diego for the Imple entation o the
ighteenth-Year CDBG P ogram County Contract Number 32836 The Eig teenth-
ear Program included wo pro ects, the construction of a edestrian ridge
across Poway Creek at owron cad and modification f vari us City of Poway
facilities to c mply w th the Americans with Disabi ities ct requirements.
The total cost or both projects was estimated at $ 30,067. The actual cost
of these projec s was less than the estimated amoun . Both projects have been
completed and t ere is an available balance of $24, 33 remaining in the
Eighteenth-Year Grant account.
In order for the City to "reallocate" this remaining funding, so that it can
be used for other projects, the County of San Diego requires an amendment to
the original Eighteenth-Year Management and Implementation Agreement.

FINDINGS
Provided in Attachment is the proposed Amendment to the Agreement for
Management and Implemen ation of a Communit Development Block Grant Project.
The amendment modifies he Sco e of Work sp cified in the original Eighteenth-
Year Management and Imp emerita ion Agreemen by including the Old Poway Park
Tot Lot as an additiona , $8,5 0 project an ~ th total funding
authorized for the Lake Poway ecreation Area from 4,900 o $20,168. The
