Hefner, Associate Civil Engineer ~~ DATE: August I, 1995 SUBJECf: Acceptance of the Orange Blossom Storm Drain (#1421) ABSTRACf: Upon final inspection of the project, staff finds the project to be complete in accordance with the standards and specifications of the contract. It is recommended that the City Council approve acceptance of the project. FISCAL IMPACf The project was completed within the available budget. No additional funds are needed. ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW -~ This action was categorically exempt under Section 15302 of the CEQA. ADDITIONAL PUBLIC NOTIFICATION AND CORRESPONDENCE None. RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Formally accept the improvements. 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file and record a Notice of Completion. 3. Authorize the release of the retention for the amount of $4,37B.35, if unencumbered, 40 days after filing the Notice of Completion. Hefner, Associate Civil Engineer j<if DATE: August 1, 1995 SUBJECf: Acceptance of the Orange Blossom Storm Drain (#1421) BACKGROUND On April 25, 1995, the City Council awarded the contract for the Orange Blossom Storm Drain to Western Pacific Construction. The amount of the contract was $49,9B7.00. FINDINGS Due to one change order and changes in the final quantity, the amount of the contract was decreased by $6,203.50 for a total contract amount of $43,783.50. FISCAL IMPACf The project was completed within the available budget. No additional funds are needed. ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW This action was categorically exempt under Section 15302 of the CEQA.
