Bradley Kutzner, Senior Civil Engineer ~ DATE: September 5, 1995 SUBJECf: Public Oral Communication August 1, 1995 - Elvira Walker 14830 High Valley Road (Project #1234) ABSTRACf: On August 1, 1995, Elvira Walker addressed the City Council on her concerns about the proposed improvements to High Valley Road. Her concerns are ones of traffic safety and of lights shining into their windows. Staff has again contacted Ms. Walker to reassure her that her concerns will be addressed and that we will discuss the options with her before proceeding. The road will be widened approximately two to five feet along the frontage of her property. FISCAL IMPACI' This action has no fiscal impact to the project. ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW This action has no environmental impact to the project. ADDITIONAL PUBLIC NOTIFICATION AND CORRESPONDENCE None. RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council receive and file this report. Her concerns are ones of traffic safety and of lights shining into their windows. Staff had previously met with Ms. Walker and was in the process of gathering additional survey data to be able to discuss the design options with her when Ms. Walker spoke to the Council. She apparently saw the survey crew and thought the project was under construction. Staff has again contacted Ms. Walker to reassure her that her concerns will be addressed and that we will discuss the options with her before proceeding. The road will be widened approximately two to five feet along the frontage of her property. FINDINGS There are no findings associated with this report.
