SUBJECT: Acceptance of Public Improvements to Old Espola Road (Phase I),
Improvement Plan Number 801-04-238; Saint John of Damascus Church,

ABSTRACT
As a condition of approval for the Saint John of Damascus Church County Use Permit P
77-71M, DR 93-02, and Resolution No. P-90-64, the City required public improvement to
Old Espola Road. The improvements in Phase I were completed in March of 1994. Staff
recommends acceptance of the improvements and that the posting of a warranty bond
requirement be waived.

This action is not subject to C.E.Q.A. review.
FISCAL IMPACT
None.
ADDITIONAL PUBLIC NOTIFICATION AND CORRESPONDENCE
None.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council accept the public improvements to Old Espola
Road (Phase I) as shown on Improvement Plan No. 801-04-23B and that the warranty bond
requirement be waived.

I), Improvement Plan Number 801-04-238; Saint John of

BACKGROUND:
. As a condition of approval for the Saint John of Damascus Church County Use
Permit P 77-71M, DR 93-02, and Resolution No. P-90-64, the City required
public improvements to Old Espola Road (Attachment 1) to be completed in two
phases (Phase I and II). These improvements were for the construction of
concrete curb, gutter, sidewalk, and drainage structures. Phase I
improvements along the northeast side of the northerly half of Old Espola Road
were completed in March of 1994. Since the improvements have been completed
for more than one year and no repairs have been made during this time, staff
recommends acceptance of the improvements and that the posting of a warranty
bond requirement be waived.
FINDINGS:
The Engineering Services Department has reviewed the public improvements in
Phase I and found them to be complete and ready for acceptance.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
This action is not subject to C.E.Q.A. review.
