Thomas, Director of Commu ity Services DATE: September 26, 1995 SUBJECf: Sycamore Avenue Property Owners ABSTRACT At the August I, 1995 City Council meeting, the staff was requested to inquire whether the property owners on Sycamore Avenue adjacent to Old Poway park had an interest in selling their property to the City. On September 7, a meeting was attended by four of the five property owners on Sycamore Avenue. Two of the property owners expressed interest in selling their property, while the other two property owners expressed no interest in selling their property. ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW L. AODITIONAL PUBLIC NOTIFICATION AND CORRESPONDENCE Additional notification sent to Carmon Steven, Jill Moore, Greg Hankins, William Holgren, and Luke Newcomb. Thomas, Director of Communit Services DATE: September 26, 1995 SUBJECT: Sycamore Avenue Property Owners BACKGROUND There are five property owners on Sycamore Avenue adjacent to the western boundary of Old Poway Park. The objective in operating the park has been to achieve a balance between the neighbors desires for peace and quiet with the community benefit of operating the rolling stock. FINDINGS On September 7, 1995, staff met with four of the five Sycamore Avenue property owners to determine if they were interested in selling their property to the City. It was made clear that the purpose of the meeting was only informational and there would be no commitment by the City or the property owners to any specific course of action. The property owners present at the meeting and their responses are: Carmon Steven not interested in selling 14134 Sycamore Avenue Jill and Stan Moore not interested in selling 14126 Sycamore Avenue Greg Hankins possible interest in selling depending upon 14146 Sycamore Avenue circumstances William and Melissa Holgren interested in selling 14152 Sycamore Avenue ACTION: 2 of 3 SEP 2 6 1995 'TEM -19-- - - Agenda Report - Sycamo,~ Avenue Property Owners September 26, 1995 Page 2 - The remaining property owner is Luke Newcomb who resides at 14156 Sycamore Avenue.
