SUBJECT: Approval of the Purchase of a Diesel Tractor
ABSTRACT
The City's infrastructure requires the use of a small, diesel powered, four-wheel drive tractor to remove silt
from culverts, grade recreational trails and aerate/verticut turf areas in the City. Staff evaluated the City's
needs, developed specifications and concluded that a diesel tractor would fulfill the requirements.
Staff formally advertised the specifications and received one bid from Pauley Equipment Company,
Escondida, California. It is recommended that the City Council approve the purchase of a Kubota B 1750
HSD Diesel Tractor for $15,247.50.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
It is not subject to CEQA review.
FISCAL IMPACT
The purchase amount is within budget.
ADDITIONAL PUBLIC NOTIFICATION AND CORRESPONDENCE
Pauley Equipment Company, 1110 West Washington Avenue, Escondido, California 92025.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council approve the purchase of a Kubota B 1750 HSD Diesel Tractor from
Pauley Equipment Company, Escondido, California for $15,247.50.

SUBJECT: Approval of the Purchase of a Diesel Tractor
BACKGROUND
The City's infrastructure requires the use of a small diesel powered, four-wheel drive tractor to
remove silt from culverts, grade recreational trails and aerate/verticut turf areas in the City. Due to
the lack of a tractor, staff is now completing the work by hand, renting an appropriate tractor to
perform the work or the quantity of work required is not being completed. Staff evaluated the City's
needs, developed specifications and concluded that a diesel tractor would fulfill the requirements.
FINDINGS
Notice Inviting Sealed Bids for a diesel tractor were mailed and one bid was received from Pauley
Equipment Company, Escondida, California for $15,247.50. This bid met all specifications and was
within budget:
