Director of Safety S ices DATE: October 17,1995 SUBJECT: DONATION OF VEmCLE TO SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT ABSTRACT The City of Poway has a reserve staff vehicle in its fleet. The Poway Sheriff's Station has requested this staff vehicle for the Senior Volunteer Patrol Program. Staff recommends that the 1985 Chevrolet Caprice be donated to the Sheriff's Department. ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW Not subject to CEQA guidelines. - FISCAL IMPACT None. . ADDmONAL PUBLIC NOTIFICATION None. RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council authorize the donation of the 1985 Chevrolet Caprice to the S 1m Diego County Sheriff's Department. Sanchez, Director of Safety Se ices (!!;' DATE: October 17, 1995 SUBJECT: DONATION OF VEmCLE TO SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT BACKGROUND The Department of Safety Services has a reserve staff vehicle due to the procurement of a new staff vehicle. The 1985 Chevrolet Caprice is no longer needed and is considered surplus. FINDINGS The Poway Sheriff s Station has a limited number of patrol vehicles. The donation of this vehicle would directly benefit the Senior Volunteer Patrol Program. The approximate value of the vehicle is $2,000. FISCAL IMPACT None. ADDITIONAL PUBLIC NOTIFICATION AND CORRR~PONDENCE None. ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW Environmental review is not required for this item under California Environmental Quality Act guidelines.
