Hefner, Associate Civil Engineer fC,cf6- DATE: October 31, 1995 SUBJECT: Acceptance of the Glen Oak Paving Project (5279) ABSTRACT: Upon final inspection of the project, staff finds the project to be complete in accordance with the standards and specifications of the contract. It is recommended that the City Council/Redevelopment Agency approve acceptance of the project. FISCAL IMPACT -- Due to extra work that was done on Poway Road, additional funds are needed. Staff recommends transferring $4,500.00 from the Street Sweepinq Account (407~4332) to the Glen Oak Paving Project (5279). ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW . ~ This action is categorically exempt under Section 15301 of the CEQA. ADDITIONAL PUBLIC NOTIFICATION AND CORRESPONDENCE None. RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council/Redevelopment Agency: 1. Formally accept the Glen Oak Paving Project (5279) 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file and record a Notice of Completion. 3. Authorize the release of the retention for the amount of $5,565.64, if unencumbered, 40 days after filing the Notice of Completion. 4. Approve the transfer of $4,500.00 from the Street Sweeping Account (407- 4332) to the Glen Oak Paving Project (5279). Hefner, Associate Civil Engineer DATE: October 31, 1995 SUBJECT: Acceptance of the Glen Oak Paving Project (5279) BACKGROUND On August I, 1995, the City Council/Redevelopment Agency awarded the contract for the Glen Oak Paving Project to Asphalt, Inc. The amount of the contract was $54,232.00. FINDINGS Due to extra work and change in quantities, the final contract amount was $55,736.79. . -ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW This project is categorically exempt under Section of the CEQA.
