SUBJECT: Award of Bid for the Construction of Del Poniente Sewer Line -
Phase I (#IB03)
ABSTRACT
This proposal would award the construction of Del Poniente Sewer contract to Interwest
Pacific, Ltd. in the amount of $246,390.00. The contract time for the project is 60
working days.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
On June 6, 1995, the City Council issued a Mitigated Negative Declaration for this .
project. Approved mitigation measures are completed and all environmental permits have
been obtained.

FISCAL IMPACT
There are sufficient funds to complete the project.
ADDITIONAL PUBLIC NOTIFICATION AND CORRESPONDENCE
None.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council award the Del Poniente Sewer contract to
Interwest Pacific, Ltd. in the amount of $246,390.00..
ACTION Continued to 10-31-95. 4-0. Councilmember Cafagna disqualified.

BACKGROUND:
On July 6, 1995 bids were opened for the Del Poniente Sewer Line Phase I
project. The Engineer's Estimate for the base bid was $205,000 to $235,000.
The contract time for this project is 60 working days.
FINDINGS:
The following eight (8) bids were received:
