A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
INITIATING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT 02-03
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that the need may
arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq., of the California Government Code describes
the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, Section 17.46.020B of the Poway Municipal Code provides that any
change to City regulations may be initiated by Resolution of the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby initiate General Plan Amendment
02-03 to redesignate certain parcels, or portions thereof, in the Poinsettia Mobile Home
Park from MHP to CG and from RS-7 to MHP; to amend the text of the Public Safety
Element of the General Plan deleting reference to the location of Fire Station #3 in the
South Poway Business Park; and correction of clerical errors made in GPA/ZC 93-01.
PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
State of California, this 12th day of November 2002.
