ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW None required. - FISCAL IMPACI' The new equipment will cost approximately $6,500.00 and an appropriation from Account No. 100-8912, General Fund Reserves is required. November 28, 1995 SUBJECT: Appropriation of Funds to Update City Council Chambers Sound System BACKGROUND The sound system in the City Council Chambers is the original equipment installed in 1981. City technical staff from the Performing Arts Center made an inspection of the equipment and found the transformers powering the overhead speakers and the exterior speaker have deteriorated beyond repair and the existing amplification system needs to be replaced. The cost of equipment is approximately $6,500 and the work can be done by City staff. Staff recommends an appropriation of funds to purchase the equipment. ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW None FISCAL IMPACT An appropriation of $6,500 from Accont 100-8912, General Fund Reserves, is required.
