ABSTRACT
This proposal would award the contract for the transit stop turnout and shelter on
Midland Road to Fox Construction in the amount of $64,912, The contract time for the
project is 60 working days,
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
This proposed project is categorically exempt from CEQA under Class 3 new facilities.

There are sufficient funds budgeted in the bus shelter CIP account (1644) to construct
this project,

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council award the contract for the construction of the
Transit Stop Turnout and Shelter on Midland Road to Fox Construction in the amount of
$64,912, and direct that the work not start until after January 1, 1996.

Road (1644)
BACKGROUND
On November 15, 1995, bids were opened for the transit stop turnout and
shelter on Midland Road. The Engineer's Estimate was $55,000 to $65,000, The
contract time for this project is 60 working days.
FINDINGS
Two bids were received. They were:

Fox Construction $64,912
San Diego, CA
Since this project is located on Midland Road between Poway Road and Hilleary
Place, staff is recommending that the work not start until after January 1,
1996.
