AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
DELETING SECTIONS 81.708(a) AND 81.403(b)
OF THE POWAY REGULATORY ORDINANCES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF Pf~4AY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The City Council has determined and herein finds that future
development within the City of Poway will be greatest thru the process of parcel
maps and/or subdivisions of parcels 20 acres or larger. By prior Resolution the
City Council has found and herein finds that road standard exemptions to parcels
of 20 acres or larger are inconsistent with the general welfare and safety of
the City in that those exemptions have produced substantial roadways generally
inaccessable to emergency vehicles. To resolve those roadway concerns, the City
Council has previously adopted a Road Construction and Maintenance Agreement as
a condition to approval of any division or land. The action herein is taken to
facilitate the smooth implementation of that agreement as a condition of all
parcel maps.
Section 2: Sections 81.403(b) and 81.708(a) are hereby deleted from the
Poway Regulatory Ordinances insofar as they allow roadway improvement exemptions
to parcels of 20 acres or larger [81.403(b)] and 40 acres or larger
[81.708(a)].
Introduced and first read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Poway held the 14th day of July, 1981 and thereafter PASSED AND ADOPTED
at a regular meeting of said City Council held the 21st day of July, 1981 by the
following roll call vote:
