A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING MAJOR USE PERMIT CUP81-02
ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBER
WHEREAS, Major Use Permit CUP81-02, submitted by City of Poway,
applicant, requests development of the Arbolitos Park Site consisting of
recreation facilities, grading, landscaping, and irrigation for the
property located at directly east of Pomerado Road, 1-1/2 miles north of
Poway Road, in the R-R-l, (Rural Residential); and,
WHEREAS, on October 27, 1981, the City Council held a duly advertised
public hearing to solicit comments from the public, both pro and con,
relative to this application;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1: Findings:
That the location, size, design, and operating characteristics of
the proposed use will be compatible with and will not adversely
affect or be materially detrimental to adjacent uses, residents,
buildigs, structures, or natural resources, with consideration
given to;
a. Harmony in scale, bulk, coverage and density;
b. The availability of public facilities, services and
utilities;
c. The harmful effect, if any, upon desirable neighborhood
character;
d. The generation of traffic and the capacity and physical
character of surrounding streets;
e. The suitability of the site for the type and intensity of use
or development which is proposed;
f. The harmful effect, if any, upon environmental quality and
natural resources; and to
g. Any other relevant impact of the proposed use; and
That the impacts, as described in paragraph "1" of this section,
and the location of the proposed use will not adversely affect the
Poway General Plan.

Section 2: Environmental Findings.
The City Council finds that this project will not have a significant
adverse impact on the environment and hereby issues a Conditional
Negative Declaration.
Section 3: City Council Decision.
The City Council hereby APPROVES Major Use Permit CUP81-02 subject to
the following conditions:
1)
A geology study of the Friars Formation/Ancient Landslide areas
shall be required and appropriate mitigation measures, as
recommended, shall be adhered to (Neg. Dec.).
2)
Construction plans for the Recreational Facilities shall be
submitted for Development Review approval prior to the issuance
of building permits.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, State of
California, this 27th day of October, 1981.
