AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AMENDING SECTION 4115 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
AS ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 29 OF THE
CITY OF POWAYw CALIFORNIA REGARDING THE
COMPUTATION OF PERMITTED DWELLING UNITS
WHEREAS, on August 18, 1981, the City Council of the City of Poway held a
duly advertised public hearing to solicit comments from the public both pro and
con; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to clarify the procedure for the
computation of permitted number of dwelling units;
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Section 4115 of the San Diego County Zoning Ordinance as adopted
by City Ordinance 29 is hereby amended to read as follows:
4115 COMPUTATION OF PERMITTED NUMBER OF DWELLING UNITS. To determine
the maximum allowable dwelling units on real property proposed for
subdivision, calculations shall be based on net site area. Net site
area is defined as the gross site area minus ultimate street right-of-
way and all planned or record vehicular easements. The maximum number
of dwelling units permitted shall be the product of the density
designator multiplied by the net site area. No rounding shall be
allowed in the final product.
Section 2: The City Council of the City of Poway California hereby finds
that this amendment will not cause significant adverse impacts on the
environment and issues a Negative Declaration for this amendment.
Introduced and first read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Poway held the 18th day of August, 1981 and thereafter PASSED AND
ADOPTED at a regular meeting of said City Council held the 25th day of August
1981 by the following roll call vote:
