A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
ESTABLISHING ALL-WAY STOP CONTROLS AND
A CROSSWALK AT MIDLAND ROAD
AND EDGEMOOR STREET
WHEREAS, Section 21100 of the California Vehicle Code permits local authorities
to adopt by resolution traffic control measures meeting the requirements set forth under
Section 21351 of the California Vehicle Code; and
WHEREAS, Section 21351 of the California Vehicle Code permits the establishment
of stop controls in the City of Poway; and
WHEREAS, this Council has determined that stop controls should be established
and a crosswalk should be created.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway as
follows:
Section 1: In accordance with said Section 21351 of the California Vehicle Code, all-way
stop controls shall be installed at the intersection of Midland Road and Edgemoor Street.
Section 2: A painted crosswalk shall be created at the intersection of Midland Road and
Edgemoor Street, and flashing beacons shall be installed to warn motorists of a School
Crossing.
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
State of California, this 29th day of April, 2003.
