A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING SIGN PERMIT 84-35
ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBER 317-490-71
WHEREAS, Sign Permit, SP 84-35, submitted by Wienerschnitzel,
applicant, requests a freestanding sign on the property located at
12612 Poway Road, in the CG (Commercial General) zone; and
WHEREAS, on January 22, 1985, the City Council held a hearing on
the above referenced item.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1: Findings:
1. That the proposed development is in conformance with the
Poway General Plan.
2. That the proposed development will not have an adverse
aesthetic, health, safety or architecturally related impact
upon adjoining properties.
3. That the proposed development is in compliance with the
Zoning Ordinance.
4. That the proposed development encourages the orderly and
harmonious appearance of structures and property within the
City.
Section 2: Environmental Findings:
The City Council finds that this project is Categorically
Exempt.
Section 3: City Council Decision:
The City Council hereby approves Sign Permit 84-35 subject to the
following conditions:
1. The sign shall be no greater than eight feet in height and
no more than 40 square feet of sign area.
2. The cabinet and support structure of the sign shall be
constructed of materials similar to the wood trim of the
existing restaurant. Said sign design is subject to
approval by the Director of Planning Services.
