OF THE CITY OF POWAY, C~T.TDORNIA,
APPROVING SIGN PERMIT 85-18
ASSESSOR' S PARCEL NUMBER 317-130-58
~ RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. P-85-27
WHEREAS, Sign Permit, SP 85-18, suhnlitted by Poway Nissan, applicant,
requests a frccstanding sign on the property located at 13760 Poway Road, in the
CE (Commercial Om~nity) zone; and
WHEREAS, on May 14, 1985, the City Council held a hearing on the above-
referenced item.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1: Findings:
1. That the proposed development is in conformance with the Poway General Plan.
2. That the proposed develoDrnent will not have an adverse aesthethic, health,
safety, or architecturally related impact upon ad~ining properties.
3. That the proposed develo[xnent is in compliance with the Zoning Ordinance.
4. That the proposed development encourages the orderly and harmonious
appearance of structures and property within the City.
Section 2: Environmental Findings:
The City Council finds that this project is Categorically Exempt, Class II.
Section 3: City Council Decision:
The CityCouncil hereby approves Sign Permit, SP 85-18, subject tothe following
condition:
The sign can be no more than eight feet in height and no more than 40 sc~are
feet of sign area. However, if the City Enginccr and Director of Planning
Services finds that the eight foot height interferes with the sign visibi-
lity from the existing driveway, staff has the discretion to increase to a
maximum height of eleven feet.
Section 4:
1. Resolution No. P-85-27 is hereby rescinded.
