A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING TEMPORARY USE PERMIT 85-60
WHEREAS, Temporary Use Permit 85-60, the Chamber of Commerce,
applicant, requests approval of a parade activity on Poway,
Pomerado, and Community Road, and on Civic Center Drive; and
WHEREAS, on September 10, 1985 the City Council held a hearing
on the above-referenced item.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Poway does
resolve as follows:
Section 1: Findings:
That the proposed use is in accordance with the purposes and
standards of Section 17.26.020 of the Zoning Development Code.
Section 2: Environmental Findings:
Pursuant to the procedures of the City of Poway, implementing
the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970, the above-
referenced project is Categorically Exempt, Class 1.
Section 3: City Council Decision:
The City Council hereby approves Temporary Use Permit 85-60
subject to the following conditions:
1. The parade shall be conducted in accordance with the
approved site plan on file in the Planning Department
except as may otherwise be provided herein prior to
commencement of the activity.
2. This approval shall become null and void on September 14,
1985 at 1:00 p.m.
3. The applicant shall obtain an insurance bond indemnifying
the City from possible liability.
4. Approval of this activity shall not excuse compliance with
all other sections of the Zoning Ordinance and all other
applicable City ordinances presently in effect.
5. The route shall be left free of debris, litter, or any
other evidence of the temporary use upon completion of the
use.

The westbound lanes of Poway Road shall be kept open for
emergency vehicles. Street intersections along the parade
route will be kept clear of spectators for emergency
traffic.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
State of California, this 10th day of September, 1985.
