Ord 577 ORDINANCE NO. 577
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
AMENDING POWAY MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 10.36 TO
CREATE TWO MID-BLOCK CROSSWALKS
WHEREAS, Poway Municipal Code chapter 10.36 allows for the creation of
crosswalks between intersections; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Safety Committee recommends that two mid-block
crosswalks be established on Tierra Bonita Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
1. Poway Municipal Code Chapter 10.36 is hereby amended to add the following
Section:
10.36.040 Tierra Bonita Road near Poway Valley Road
There shall be a crosswalk across Tierra Bonita Road (County Road D7-2),
the northerly line of said crosswalk to be one hundred sixty feet south of the
centerline of Poway Valley Road.
2. Poway Municipal Code Chapter 10.36 is hereby amended to add the following
Section:
10.36.050 Tierra Bonita Road near Donart Drive
There shall be a crosswalk across Tierra Bonita Road (County Road D7-2),
the southerly line of said crosswalk to be seven hundred feet north of the
centerline of Donart Drive.
3. This Ordinance shall be codified.
EFFECTIVE DATE: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30)
days after the date of its passage; and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its
passage, it shall be published once with the names of members voting for and against
the same in the Poway News Chieftain, a newspaper of general circulation published in
the City of Poway.

Introduced and first read at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of
Poway held the 20th day of May, 2003, and thereafter PASSED AND ADOPTED at a
regular meeting of said City Council held the 3rd day of June, 2003, by the following roll
call vote:
