A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
INITIATING A SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT (SPA 84-01LLL)
TO REVISE THE USE MATRIX OF THE SOUTH POWAY COMMERCIAL AND LIGHT
INDUSTRIAL ZONES TO ALLOW, WITH A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT,
RECREATIONAL VEHICLE, MOTORCYCLE, OFF-ROAD VEHICLE, AND
WATERCRAFT SALES AND ANCILLARY SERVICE
WHEREAS, Chapter 17.47 (Specific Plan Regulations) of Title 17 (Zoning
Development Code) of the Poway Municipal Code prevides the requirements for the
initiation, preparation, and adoption of Specific Plans in accordance with Section 65450,
et seq., of the California Government Code (Article 8, Specific Plan); and
WHEREAS, Section 17.47.020.C (Initiation) of the Zoning Development Code
prevides that the City Council may initiate the preparation of, or amendment to, a
Specific Plan on preperty by resolution; and
WHEREAS, a Specific Plan Amendment is preposed to revise the use matrix of
the South Poway Commemial and Light Industrial zones to allow, with a Conditional
Use Permit, recreational vehicle, motorcycle, off-read vehicle, and watercraft sales and
ancillary service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Poway hereby initiates a Specific Plan Amendment (SPA 84-01LLL) to revise the use
matrix of the South Poway Commercial and Light Industrial zones to allow, with a
Conditional Use Permit, recreational vehicle, motorcycle, off-read vehicle, and
watercraft sales and ancillary service in accordance with the previsions of the Poway
Zoning Development Code.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
State of California, at a regular meeting this 3rd day of June 2003.
