A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
AMENDING THE POWAY CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS
CONSIGNMENT TICKETING FEES IN THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE
AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NOS 12 -024 AND 14 -019
WHEREAS, California Code section 66016 et seq. establishes procedures for the
adoption of fees for services by local government; and
WHEREAS, on May 4, 2010, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 10 -017,
adopting a Master Schedule of Fees, which includes fees for the Community Services
Department; and
WHEREAS, on April 15, 2014, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 14 -019
Amending the Community Services Section of the Master Fee Schedule; and
WHEREAS, the current consignment fee for rental clients at the Poway Center for
the Performing Arts is not comparable to other theatres; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that continuing to permit rental clients the
opportunity to sell consignment tickets is of direct community benefit; and
WHEREAS, the City pays fees for consignment ticket printing but does not take any
portion of the rental client consignment ticket sales; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Community Services Section of the Master
Fee Schedule to update the rental client consignment fees in order to recover the cost of
consignment ticket printing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway as
follows:
Section 1: The City Council finds that this amendment to the Master Fee Schedule is
exempt from the requirements of CEQA pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section
15273 (a) 1).
Section 2: Resolution No. 12 -024 is hereby repealed, rescinded, and of no further effect.
Effective July 1, 2014, Resolution No. 14 -019 is hereby repealed, rescinded, and of no
further force and effect.
Section 3: The City Council hereby modifies the Community Services Section of the
Master Fee Schedule to reflect $0.50 for each consignment ticket printed, and a credit of
$0.50 for each unused ticket returned to the box office. The updated Community Services
section of the Master Fee Schedule is attached as Exhibit 1.

Section 4: The changes shall become effective July 1, 2014.
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway at
a regular meeting this 20th day of May, 2014.
