Sorenson, applicant request approval to a 420 square foot guest house for a single family home located on the corner of Del Norte and Stone Canyon Road in the RS-2 (Residential Single Family 2) zone; and WHEREAS, on October 11, 1988, the City Council held a duly advertised public hearing to solicit comments from the public, both pro and con, relative to this application. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby resolve as follows: Section 1: Findin~ : This project is Categorically Exempt under the p of CEQA (Class 3) because it consists of installation of new facilities in an existing small Section 1: F' dinc: That the location, size, design, and operating of the propo ed use will be compatible with and will not adversely affect or be ma erially detrimental to adjacent uses, residents, buildings, struc ures, or natural in that the use is accessory to and compa ible with single family residential development. That the scale, bulk, coverage, and density of the project is con- sistent with adjacent uses, in that as an accessory structure, the guest house is small in p to the existing home. 3. That there are available public facilities, and utilities. e That there will not be a harmful effect upon desirable neighborhood because the proposed will be within an existing building and have no exterior effect. That the § of traffic will not adversely impact the g streets and/or the City's C Element because the use remains single-family. That the site is suitable for the type and of use or develop- ment which is proposed because the use will remain single family resi- dential. That there will not be significant harmful effects upon quality and natural due to the small scale of the proposed alterations.
