Res P-90-21 RESOLUTION NO. P- 90-21
A OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING UNDERGROUNDING WAIVER 90-02
WHEREAS, U dergrounding Waiver 90-02, submitted by San Diego Gas and
Electric, appl cant, requests a waiver of the requirement for undergrounding for
addition of a 2 KV distribution line which will upgrade an existing overhead
transmission 1 ne. The line is to be located within an existing easement which
extends from the Poway substation on Twin Peaks Road north to Espola Road; and
WHEREAS, on March 27, 1990, the City Council held a hearing on the above-
referenced item.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1: Environmental
This project is categorically exempt from Environmental Review under CEQA
Class 1 because it will involve a minor to the existing public
facilities which provide electric power.
Section 2: I :
The pr ect is consistent with City Council Resolution P-86-072 which
establ hed criteria for the waiver of undergrounding requirements in that
Resolu on P-86-072 states that "upgrading of existing overhead facilities
and ad tions of cable or lines to existing overhead utility poles by the
utility shall be permitted overhead".

The City Council hereby approves Underground Waiver g0-02.
