FOR NEGATIVE CL AT S AN VIR ME AL IMPACT REPORTS
WHEREAS, the California Public Resources code establishes standard time
limits for public review of negative declarations and environmental impact
reports; and
WHEREAS, Section 21091 of the Public Code permits the City Council
to deslgnate a person authorized to request the Offlce of Planning and Research
for permission to utilize shortened revlew perlods; and
WHEREAS, this City Council desires to designate a person authorized to
request such shortened review periods.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California, as follows:
That the Director of P1 nning Servi es or h r designee ithin the
Planning Services Depar ment is aut orized o request s ortened public
review periods for nega ive declara ions an environmen al impact
reports in accordance w th the prov sions o Section 21 91 of the
Public Code.

That the Director of Planning Services shall notify the Council when
requests for shortened review are made. Notice will be given to the
Council before the request is made or as soon thereafter as is prac-
tical by report to be placed on the Consent Agenda.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, State of
