A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
POWAY, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE COMMUNITY
SERVICES DEPARTMENT FACILITY USE RULES AND
REGULATIONS POLICY
WHEREAS, on April 15, 2014, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 14 -017
Establishing the Community Services Department Facility Use Rules and Regulations
Policy for operation of City of Poway parks, recreation, and cultural facilities that fall under
the jurisdiction of the Community Services Department; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary from time to time to update the policy for the safety and
benefit of the public who utilize Community Services facilities, and to provide for the
recovery of operational and maintenance costs associated with the use of the facilities; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to clarify paragraph 4 of Subdivision Q of Section 6.2
addressing the loss of the Cleanup /Damage deposit for failure to satisfy the cleanup
requirements, or for damage repair costs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway as
follows:
Section 1: Paragraph 4 of Subdivision Q of Section 6.2 is hereby amended to read as
follows:
Failure to satisfy cleanup requirements will result in a loss of the deposit, equal to
cleaning and administrative processing costs incurred by the City. The City may also
retain the deposit, or any portion thereof, for reimbursement to the City for costs
incurred to repair any damages to the facility arising out of user's use of the facility.
Refunds of all or part of the deposit will be issued within 21 days after the rental
date.
Section 2: Except as otherwise modified by this Resolution, the City of Poway Community
Services Department Facility Use Rules and Regulations Policy, as approved by Poway
City Council Resolution No. 14 -017, shall remain in full force and effect.
