OF THE CITY OF POWAY,
APPROVING TEMPORARY USE PERMIT 92-45
WHEREAS, Use Permit 92-45, City of Poway, applicant, requests
approval to hold a farmers' market on the vacant property south of Old Poway
Park; and
WHEREAS, on August 25, 1992, the City Council considered the above-
referenced item.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby resolve as follows:

Pursuant to the procedure of the City of Poway, implementing the
California E tal Quality Act, the above-referenced project is
categorically exempt, Class 4(e) and 11(c).

That the proposed use is in accordance with the purposes and standards of
Section 17.26.030 of the Poway Municipal Code.

The City Council hereby approves Temporary Use Permit 92-45 subject to the
following conditions:
APPLICANT SHALL CONTACT THE DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING SERVICES REGARDING COMPLIANCE
WITH THE FOLLOWING CONOITIONS:
Site shall be set up in accordance with the approved site plans on file in
the Planning Services Department and the conditions contained herein.

Fire and County Sheriff's Departments shall be contacted for appropriate
permits and inspections prior to the of the activity.
Temporary signs shall be reviewed by the Planning Services Department for
compliance with the Sign Ordinance prior to installation.
Approval of this activity shall not excuse compliance with all other
sections of the Zoning Ordinance and all other applicable City ordinances
presently in effect.
A sign showing location of the restrooms must be posted.
The event sites shall be left free of debris, litter, or any other
evidence of the temporary use upon completion of the use.
The market and all food and drink operated for profit shall
secure the necessary Health Department permit and State seller's permit.
Non-profit food booths shall be requested to comply with same requirements
as ' 1 booths.

The vehicles of all vendors using bil units must comply with
Administrative Code, Title 17. pec fically, all doors must be self-
closing, service windows must e 16 square inches or less, and
sh guards are required or a 1 light bulbs.
Vendors preparing food in temporary booths must provide floors, walls, and
ceilings for the entire stand.

Provision for temporary electrical power will require an electrical permit
and an inspection approval by the Building Safety Inspection Division.
APPLICANT SHALL CONTACT THE DEPARTHENT OF SAFETY SERVICES REGARDING COMPLIANCE
WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
1. All tents are to be tagged with State Fire Marshal approval.
All booths or tents having electrical power, using any kind of flammable
fuel, or doing any cooking will have a fire extinguisher rated not less
than 2A10BC.
Fire Department access to all buildings affected by the market shall be
maintained at all times.
APPLICANT SHALL CONTACT THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTNENT REGARDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE
FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
Market management shall be on-site at all times when the parking areas are
in use to assist with security of parked vehicles, to aid in the movement
of vehicles in and out of the lots, to provide information to motorists,
and to minimize traffic congestion on surface streets.
The market management shall provide liaison with representatives of the
City's Fire and Police Services as requested.
