OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING TEMPORARY USE PERMIT 92-86
WHEREAS, Temporary Use Permit 92-86, Poway High Music Boosters, applicant,
requests approval to hold a 5K run and 2K walk in the Bridlewood planned
community on February 27, 1993; and
WHEREAS, on February 16, 1993, the City Council held a hearing on the
above-referenced item.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1: E tal F :
Pursuant to the procedure of the City of Poway, implementing the
California E 1 Quality Act of 1970, the above-referenced project
is categorically exempt, Class 4(e) and 11{c}.
That the proposed use is in accordance with the purposes and standards of
Section 17.26.030 of the Zoning Development Code.
The City Council hereby approves Temporary Use Permit 92-86 subject to the
following conditions:
1. The Fanfare 5K shall be conducted as shown on the approved
site/traffic plan on file in the Planning Services Department.
This approval shall become null and void the evening of February 27,
1993.

The applicant shall obtain an bond indemnifying the City
of Poway from possible liability in an amount not less than $1
million.
Approval of this activity does not waive compliance with all other
sections of the Zoning Ordinance and other applicable ordinances
presently in effect.
The applicant shall obtain a right-of-way permit from the
Engineering Services Department for temporary closure of one travel
lane on Espola Road. The permit shall include a traffic control plan
which defines the limits of closure.
Any barricades which block access to structures or roadways shall be
manned at all times by an adult capable of moving the obstruction
for emergency vehicles.

Informational signs perta ning to street closures should be i place
72 hour prior to the even . Signs shall be located behind s dewalk
areas and placed so that hey do not interfere with visibil ty for
vehicles. The signs sba 1 not exceed two feet by four eet in
dimension and shall be weighted down to ensure stability.
Volunteers shall be stationed at the following

Volunteers shall contact the Sheriffs Department for appropriate
traffic control training.
A reserve sheriff deputy shall be present to monitor and direct
traffic at the intersection of Espola and Lake Poway Roads.

Emergency vehicle access to roads and dwellings in the area shall
remain open.
11.
Emergency medical services shall be available at the finish of the
course.
12.
Pu lic streets, off-street parking sites, and areas ithin and

an litter after the event. Temporary signage, barrica es, cones,
an any other evidence of the event shall be remove upon its
completion.
