OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING TEMPORARY USE PERMIT 93-03
WHEREAS, Temporary Use Permit 93-03, San Diego Bicycle Club, applicant,
requests approval to hold a bicycle race in the South Poway Business Park; and
WHEREAS, on March 9, 1993, the City Council held a hearing on the above-
referenced item.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby resolve as follows:
Section ]: :
Pursuant to the of the City of Poway, implementing the
California E 1 Quality Act of 1970, the above-referenced project
is categorically exempt, Class 4(e) and 11(c).

That the proposed use is in accordance with the purposes and standards of
Section 17.26.030 of the Zoning Ordinance.
Section 3: Cit Council
The City Council hereby approves Temporary Use Permit 93-03 subject to the
following conditions:
1. The bike race shall be conducted as shown on the approved
site/traffic plan on file in the Planning Services
2. This approval shall become null and void the evening of April 17,
]993.
3. The applicant shall obtain an bond indemnifying the City
of Poway from possible liability in an amount not less than $1
million.

Approval of this activity does not waive compliance with all other
sections of the Zoning Ordinance and other applicable ordinances
presently in effect.

Any barricades which block access to structures or roadways shall be
manned at all times by an adult capable of moving the ob
for emergency vehicles.
Temporary directional signs shall be located behind sidewalk areas
and placed so that they do not interfere with visibility for
vehicles. The signs shall not exceed two feet by four feet in
dimension and shall be weighted down to ensure stability.

At the cost to the applicant, two sheriff deputies shall be present
to monitor and direct traffic at Road and Stowe Drive and
at Community Drive and Scripps Poway Parkway.
Emergency vehicle access to any roads or buildings in the business
park are to remain open.
Street vendors shall obtain City business certificates from Customer
Services prior to the event.

Public streets, off-street parking sites, and areas within and
adjoining the proposed area for the event shall be cleared of
debris, and litter after the event, signage, barricades,
cones, and any other evidence of the event shall be removed upon its
completion.
11. All electric works shall meet current code
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, State of
