Res P-94-17RESOLUTION NO. P-94-17 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA APPROVING TEMPORARY USE PERMIT 94-09 WHEREAS, Temporary Use Permit 94-0g, Kiwanis of Poway, applicant, requests approval to hold a bicycle fun ride on April 9, 1994 which will begin and end at Lake Poway; and WHEREAS, on April 5, 1994, the City Council held a hearing on the above referenced item. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby resolve as follows: Section 1: Pursuant to the procedure of the City of Poway, implementing the California E tal Quality Act of lg70, the above-referenced project is categorically exempt, Class 4{e} and 11(c). The proposed use is in accordance with the purposes and standards of Section 17.26.030 of the Zoning Ordinance. The generation of traffic will not adversely impact the capacity and physical character of the surrounding streets and/or the Circulation Element of the General Plan. Secti The City Council hereby approves Temporary Use Permit 94-09 subject to the following conditions: 1. The bike ride shall be conducted as shown on the approved site/traffic plans of file in the Planning Services Department. 2. This approval shall become null and void the evening of April 9, 1994. 3. The applicant shall obtain an bond indemnifying the City of Poway from possible liability in an amount not less than 2 million dollars. Approval of this activity does not waive compliance with all other sections of the Zoning Ordinance and other applicable ordinances presently in effect. Temporary directional signs shall be located behind sidewalk areas and placed so that they do not interfere with visibility for vehicles. The signs shall not exceed two feet by four feet in dimension and shall be weighted down to ensure stability. Resolution No. p-94-17 Page 2 Emergency vehicle access to any roads or buildings in the proposed routes are to remain open. All p are to obey all signs and signals as posted. The California Vehicle Code is to be strictly enforced. Pu lic streets, off-street parking sites, and areas within and ad oining the proposed area for the event shall be cleared of de tis, and litter after the event. Temporary signage, and any ot er evidence of the event shall be removed upon its completion. All electric works shall meet current code requirements.
