A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING TEMPO~RY USE PERMIT 94-07
WHEREAS, Temporary Use Permit 94-07, San Diego Bicycle Club, Applicant,
requests approval to hold a USCF-$anctioned bicycle race which will take place
in the South Poway Business Park on Saturday, April 23, 1994; and
WHEREAS, on April 12, 1994, the City Council held a hearing on the above
referenced item.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby resolve as follows:
Pursuant to the procedure of the City of Poway, implementing the
California E tal Quality Act of 1970, the above-referenced project
is categorically exempt, Class 4(e).

The proposed use is in accordance with the purposes and standards of
Section 17.26.030 of the Zoning Ordinance.
The g of traffic will not adversely impact the capacity and
physical character of the surrounding streets and/or the Circulation
Element of the General Plan.
The City Council hereby approves Temporary Use Permit 94-07 subject to the
following conditions:
1. The bike ride shall be conducted as shown on the approved
site/traffic plans of file in the Planning Services Department.
This approval shall become null and void the evening of April 23,
1994.
The applicant shall obtain an bond indemnifying the City
of Poway from possible liability in an amount not less than 1
million dollars.

Approval of this activity does not waive compliance with all other
sections of the Zoning Ordinance and other applicable ordinances
presently in effect.
5. Advance notification signs regarding street closures will be
required prior to the event.

Emergency vehicle access to any roads or buildings in the proposed
routes are to remain open.
Pu lic streets, off-street parking sites, and areas within and
ad oining the proposed area for the event shall be cleared of
de tis, and litter after the event. Temporary signage, and any
ot er evidence of the event shall be removed upon its completion.
All electric works shall meet current code requirements.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, State of
California, this 12th day of April, 1994.
