RESOLUTION NO. 15 -002
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
ORDERING THE SUMMARY VACATION OF A
PORTION OF EDGEMOOR STREET
FRONTING 13526 EDGEMOOR STREET
(Vacation No. 14 -001)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway desires to summarily vacate a
portion of Edgemoor Street fronting 13526 Edgemoor Street in accordance with the
procedures provided in Chapter 3, Part 3, commencing at Section 8300 of Division 9 of
the State of California Streets and Highways Code; and
WHEREAS, said portion of Edgemoor Street was dedicated for public street
purposes to the County of San Diego per the Piermont Subdivision Map, recorded
August 4, 1894, in the office of the recorder of San Diego County, as map 785; and
WHEREAS, upon City of Poway's incorporation on December 1, 1980, the City of
Poway became the successor in interest to that portion of Edgemoor Street dedicated to
the County of San Diego.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway
as follows:
1. This Vacation is made under the provisions of Chapter 3, Part 3, Division 9 of the
State of California Streets and Highways Code.
2. The City hereby finds that said portion of Edgemoor Street to be vacated is
unnecessary for present or prospective public street use.
3. The City hereby declares that said portion of Edgemoor Street fronting
13526 Edgemoor Street, APN 314 - 214- 13 -00, as depicted in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto, is hereby vacated.
4. The City Clerk of the City of Poway is hereby directed to cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the office of the San Diego County Recorder.
5. That from and after the date the Resolution is recorded, the Vacation is
complete.
