APPROVING COMPREHENSIVE SIGN PROGRAM 98-03
ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBER 317-280-37,38, 39
WHEREAS, Comprehensive Sign Program (CSP) 98-03 submitted by American
Property Enterprises, Applicant, requests approval of a comprehensive sign program for
the light industrial 3dsed of three legal lots (Lots 44, 45 and 46 of Poway Tract
87-13 Unit 1)located at 13651-13771 Danielson Street,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City does hereby
follows:
The sign program is not subject to the California E Iai Quality Act in that
it :lards for on-premise signs.
That the proposed lance with the purpose and standards contained
in Section 17.40.010 of the Poway Municipal Code.
The City Council hereby approves Comprehensive Sign Program 98-03 subject to
the following conditions:
Within 30 days of approval the applicant shall submit in writing that all
conditions of approval have been read and understood.
All signs within each lot shall conform to the sign criteria and design
guid -1 herein:
FREESTANDING MONUMENT SIGN:
One 4'6" high by 8'10" long concrete I sign is permitted to be
located 13' back of property line on each lot facing the of
Danielson Street and Crosthwaite Circle per site plan. Font style to be Times
Bold Italic.
BUSINESS DIRECTORY SIGN:
A ~ two (2), 3' wide by 4' high concrete directory signs for each
lot, located 13' back of property line and oriented perpendicular to Danielson
Street for viewing from each direction of travel (2-sided sign).
WALL SIGNS:

Sign area location is generally centered within the rectangular area
formed by glass panels, concrete panel joint
the sides, and top and bottom horizontal concrete reveals located
over each business main entry. For Buildings 1 and 2, the bottom
and top reveals are between 11'8" and 18'8" respectively above
finished floor. For Buildings 3 and 4, the bottom and top horizontal
between 11'8" and 19'8" respectively above finished floor.
The number of wall signs shall be one per street frontage
and/or main parking lot, not to exceed two (2) per b the

The sign area shall be limited to four (4) percent of the
building face, not to exceed 100 square feet.

letter height shall be limited to 36 inches.
Th length of the sign shall not extend closer than 18" from
each side of the rectangular area described above.
Nationally known 1 ! request a deviation from the standards
for individual tenant signs only.
Background color for all wall signs shall be light gray (Frazee 8541A).

Font style shall be Optima Semi Bold; alternative type faces may be
used for Iogos.
Sign colors for non-illuminated letters shall be Charcoal Gray (Frazee
8535D); Iogos may use alternat' ' ~.
Approval of this request shall not 31iance with Section 17.40.010
of the Zoning Code and ail other applicable City Ordinances in effect at the
time of sign permit issuance.

APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, State of
