A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING A MODIFICATION OF
COMPREHENSIVE SIGN PROGRAM 87-04M
ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBERS 317-153-24-27
WHEREAS, Comprehensive Sign Program (CSP) 87-04M, submitted by Mark
Tackabery, applicant, requests approval to modify the comprehensive sign program for the
center located at the northeast comer of Poway Road and Oak Knoll Road in
the Community B
WHEREAS, pursuant to G l Code Section 66020(d)(1), NOTICE IS
FURTHER GIVEN that the 90-day period to protest the imposition of any fee, dedication,
reservation, or otb described in this resolution begins on the effective date of
this resolution and any such protest must I: that complies with Section 66020.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City does hereby

That the proposed lance with the purpose and standards contained
in Section 17.40 (Comprehensive Sign Regulations) of the Poway Municipal Code.
The City Council hereby approves Comprehensive Sign Program 87-04M subject
to the following conditions:
Within 30 days of approval, the applicant shall submit in writing that all
conditions of approval have been read and understood.
All future signs within the center shall conform to the sign criteria, location
and design guidelines and colors contained in CSP 87-04M and Section
17.14.190.B5 of the Poway Municipal Code.

The proposed advertising kiosk 3all match the existing
signs in design and color, which are currently utilizing an off-white
background and green trim. Three advertising panels will be permitted on
each side of th ' :ing of a clear or green plastic panel with

vinyl letters. Per the existing CSP, the color of the copy can be white, red,
or yellow.

The final design of the sign and the size, methods, and materials used to
attach the advertisements to the kiosk structure, shall be subject to the
approval of the Director of Development Services.
The center shall relinquish the right to display temporary sales banners. Use
and duration of advertisement displays shall be at the discretion of the
Pomerado Plaza Management. "Grand Opening," "Under New
Management," and "Parking Lot Sale" b I be permitted subject to
the City's temporary sign regulations.

Approval of this request shall not 31lance with Section 17.40.010
of the Zoning Code and all other applicable City Ord' effect at the
time of sign permit issuance.
7. Prior to installation, the applicant shall obtain all necessary building permits.
Any changes to the advertising kiosk, including the number of
advertisements per kiosk side, color of plastic panels or copy, shall be
subject to the sat :the Director of Development Services.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, State of
California, this 16th day of November 1999.
