A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING COMPREHENSIVE SIGN PROGRAM 99-03
ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBER 317-281-11
WHEREAS, Comprehensive Sign Program (CSP) 99-03 submitted by Steve
Weddell, Applicant; W.H. Pomerado, LLC, Owner; requests approval of a comprehensive
sign program for the light industrial building located at 13000 Danielson Street; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to G I Code Section 66020(d)(1), NOTICE IS
FURTHER GIVEN that the 90-day period to protest the imposition of any fee, dedication,
reservation, or otb described in this resolution begins on th date of
this resolution and any such protest must I~ that complies with Section 66020.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City does hereby

The City Council hereby approves Comprehensive Sign Program 99-03 subject to
the following conditions:
Within 30 days of approval the applicant shall submit in writing that all
conditions of approval have been read and understood.
All signs within each lot shall conform to the sign criteria and design
guidelines contained within the South Poway Specific Plan Development
Standards and the general p ' ' !the Comprehensive Sign Ordinance
of the Poway Municipal Cod ~ed from time to time. The specific
criteria for this comprehensive sign program within an Industrial Land Use
designation is as follows:
Using the same background color on all signs. (The color palette for
the building is gray, specifically Frazee Gray Kitten 5412. The

background color for wall signs for leases of less than 20,000 square
feet will be white with' pan.)
Using not more than three different colors, plus white, for sign
lettering. (Th 3osen are red, blue and black.)
Using the same type of cabinet supports, or method of mounting for
signs of the same type, or by using the same type of
material for components, such as sign copy, cabinets and supports,
or by using d ';Ining determined compatible by the Director
of Development Services. (All channel letter sign copy shall have
"black" returns [sides]). Typical wall signs for leases of less than
20,000 square feet of building will be in pans with '~vhite"
:1 black vinyl graphics, using Clarendon Bold type style.)

Using the same form of ill for all signs, or by using varied
forms of illumination determined compatible by the Director of
Development Services. (Internal illumination shall be with neon
tubing or comparable lighting. Exposed tubing, junction boxes, lamps,
conduits, 1 raceways, or neon are not
permitted.)
E. Allowing the use of different colors for Iogos.
The freestanding sign shall be located at th : Danielson Street and
Community Road and shall not interfere with the sight visibility at that
int ~ within the City's right-of-way.
Approval of this request shall not 31lance with Section 17.40.010
of the Zoning Code and all other applicable City ord' =[ect at the
time of sign permit issuance.
The applicant shall obtain the required Building Division approvals and
permits.
Submit revised sign criteria to be utilized by I :1 sign companies and
that conforms with the South Poway Specific Plan and Poway Municipal
Code within 30 days of City Council approval of the Comprehensive Sign
Program.
